Heart warming recipes for strange times

As an Israeli/Ukrainian household, this week has been difficult to swallow. To everyone who experiencing this shared sadness our heart goes out to you and your families. It is hard to do anything but cook during these unpredictable times. We figured, why not share the dishes that bring us the most amount of comfort. Something warm & nostalgic like Zikki’s Chicken Soup, something laced in tradition and ritual like our Classic Challah, and something sweet like our Rogalach Babka.

We choose recipes that are wonderful to make together with young kids, with your parents, with your grandparents, or with some really good friends. They are heart warming activities as much as they are recipes. And for a moment, when you are deep into the method, there is peace in predictable.
In other news…we wrote a COOKBOOK!
This has been the hardest secret to keep of ALL time! We’ve wanted to share everything with you all from genesis, but alas the time has arrived and we are excited to start sharing more and more from our wild journey in the cookbook universe [+ loads of silly BTS].

Behind the scenes…1st day shooting at Dan Perez’s Studio in Israel
This cookbook is a mirror of the multi-cultural world we’ve built together as partners in business and life, through the lens of food and hosting. The recipes are inspired by all of our crazy adventures around the world, meeting incredible people, cooking with them, learning from them, and then bringing those inspirations together into the way we eat, serve and host.
We plan to do lots of Q&As as we get closer to the publishing date and we’ve love to hear from you all here at the YASSS community first. Reply back to this email with your question. We are talking all things cookbook!
