Classic, but Elevated

I love good ole American classics

Hi Gingis, today we are going straight classic. I think you guys probably have noticed that we’ve been going in on the American classics recently. I figured, why not. Since Zikki and I have known each other, we’ve always intentionally assimilated to the food culture surrounding us, of course with our own flair - but for this season in life - classic Americana feels just right. Suburban small town living will do that to you. (LOL) I’m still very much romanticizing this incredible little life.

Picture the perfect breakfast Blueberry Muffin aroma filling your sun-kissed kitchen on a bright Saturday morning or maybe your kids (or your partner) want a bowl of our homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal for a late afternoon pick me up or midnight snack? Both treats are a perfect Saturday afternoon activity for the whole family or maybe a date! (For one of our first dates - Zikki and I sat around making Ukrainian varenyky together. Nothing brings more joy then a little food project!)

Opps, did we skip lunch…? Have you ever made a Tuna Melt fully from scratch? Marinate and confit your tuna in your own spice and herb blend, for the yummiest Tuna Melt ever! Load it up on your favorite neighborhood bagel (Apollo bagel is our favorite atm), coat with a slice of cheese and broil until everything is melty and irresistible.

In case, you need a little something for dinner too - try our quick and easy Spaghetti and Meatballs. These recipes today are all about making common day to day items, truly exceptional. Not gonna lie, the Spaghetti and Meatballs pair perfectly with a little Caesar Salad action. YUM! Happy cooking and eating Gingis.

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend ahead! Hold your loved ones close and make something delicious for your people.

Best,

Ben & Zikki
