Tips & Tricks

Use Up All Your Summer Berries!

  1. Make berry jam! Combine berries in a pot with a splash of water and lemon juice, cook down until thickened. Place in a jar and put into your fridge for up to 2 weeks!

  2. Too lazy to cook? Freeze the berries to use for smoothies or baked goods. They’ll last in your freezer in a ziploc bag for a couple months.

  3. Make a shrub for a spritzer. Combine berries, vinegar and sugar in a pot and simmer until combined. Put a spoonful in a glass with ice and seltzer. Delish!

  4. Go raw & fizzy! Take your berries and place them into a glass jar with a few spoons of sugar. Mix and seal. Leave on your counter for 3 days and then open and blend. Seive the mixture and save the liquid to add by the spoonful into a glass with ice and seltzer. Zikki’s personal favorite thing.

  5. Make strawberry donuts! Using those summer berries at their peak will take these mini donuts to the next level with homemade strawberry jam.
