Snow Day Goodies
Nothing makes me happier than owning snow... (LOL)
Ohhhh mama.
Hello fellow Gingis, Happy YASSSletter Thursday from the chilly, cozy, snowy Jersey! Before moving to the states, it was a rare occurrence to find myself surrounded by this much snow. But alas, suburban life has allotted me my own field of snow this year and I am making use of all of it. First up on the agenda today? This sexy creamy 5 minute Snow Cream. Yalla. You can’t believe how quickly it comes together for the perfect dessert, kid’s activity, or general shenanigan.
Now before we go into the recipe, please be mindful of the snow you are using! We used snow from our deck where it had just finished snowing that morning. Ginigs, use high quality snow if you are gonna make these.
SNOW (ice) CREAM Base Ingredients:
10 cups of clean fresh snow (not pressed - keep it light and fluffy)
1 small can of condensed milk
3-4 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla pasta
Toppings: (feel free to get freaky with these!)
Raspberries
Toasted Coconut Flakes
Chocolate Fudge
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
In case eating snow is just not cutting it for you…
This week, I made a Pistachio Lemon Pound Cake layered with dried blueberries and drizzled with a tangy sweet lemon glaze. Nothing screams “cozy-snow-day-hiding inside-our-little-home-with-my-ladies” like a slice of this pound cake and pipping hot cup of espresso at 5:30am. But seriously. It’s chewy and decadent, yet fluffy and light.

Wishing you all a beautiful snowy week and sending big love! Best, Ben & Zikki
