Stress-free Valentine's Menu ❤️

Think Classic Americana 90s Oceanfront Seafood Restaurant...[iykyk]

Zikki and I went back and forth for a LONG time, talking about what is the BEST dinner for Valentine’s Day - especially if you are cooking at home. We threw around words like luxurious…simple…and light. [and easy to clean!!!] Definitely don’t want to be stuffed post V-day dinner. This year Zik requested a classic Americana dinner, reminiscent of a 90s steak house or seafood restaurant by the water in an upscale neighborhood. Think candle sticks, white table cloth, and warm dinner buns served with butter.

So…without further a do. Your sexy simple light and luxurious Valentine’s Day Menu.

  • Shrimp Cocktail (served with a homemade cocktail sauce loaded with freshly grated horseradish because we absolutely love it)

  • Middle Eastern Lobster Tail (finished with a decadent amount of melted salted butter and creamy mashed potatoes)

  • Spicy Olive Oil Chocolate Mousse (topped with 2 minute homemade whipped cream)

  • BONUS RECIPE: Now…if you really wanna go above and beyond you can also make our Garlic Confit Rosemary Buns and serve them with butter & some flakey salt. [I feel like this one really seals the deal.]

I cannot stress how simple this menu is to prepare. Make the Chocolate Mousse in the morning and set in the fridge to chill. Then set aside an hour for the reset of the menu, choose a gorgeous bottle of white wine, and you are ready to rock.

We built this menu so that you all can enjoy each other’s company rather than having to fuss about making something really crazy. Wishing you all a love filled holiday, in every shape and form. ❤️

A fancy dinner does make my wife happy, but more than anything I would argue that the shine of a perfectly clean kitchen AFTER a fancy dinner production goes much further in the long run. [Happy wife, happy life!]

A great tip to keep the kitchen clean is to have all the right tools to do so. If everything has a place to go, it should never take more then 10 minutes to reset the space. Enter: Mill - a food recycler that turns kitchen scraps into compost overnight. I cannot stress how this machine has changed our life. We dropped for 5 bags of garbage a week to one. Not to mention, it just feels GOOD knowing that our food waste is getting a second life as compost used in our garden and for our indoor house plants.
