The BEST Cake I've Ever Made.

If you do anything, make this cake.

Today we are keeping this short and sweet for the holiday week! Shana Tova to everyone celebrating Rosh Hashana this week. Wishing you all a good and prosperous year ahead, surrounded by love, family, and really good people.

Remember the Apple & Honey Butter from last week? Well, at the beginning of this week, Zikki and I made an enormous batch (enough for a 100 families) and it went out to all the families at our daughter’s school. (A long term dream of mine!) Through the process, we were reminded of how truly delightful this treat is. So if you haven’t made it for your guests yet...there is still time. It is quick to whip together and really adds that extra touch!

Now today, we are sharing only one recipe and it has to be our very favorite of the entire season. This Honey Layered Cake is FAR less intimidating to make than one would expect and will have your guests begging for another slice.

This is Zikki’s favorite cake from childhood and I always wanted to make it, but it seemed VERY complex. Plot twist: It is not. So I say, GO FOR IT! Rotating layers of thin buttery honey cake, brushed milk, and a tangy yogurt cream make this cake the ultimate morning treat, late night dessert, or mid day tea cake!

I still have half the cake in the fridge, but I am already dreaming about making it again.

Once again, wishing you all a peaceful holiday! All our love to you and your loved ones.
