The Ultimate Bagel Board
Bagels, Schmear & all the Fixins

Happy YASSSletter Thursday Gingis!
There are few things in life as comforting as a bagel with schmear, smoked fish, and all the fixins!
When I first moved to the states, transparently I never understood the fascination with bagels. To me they stood as the “anti sandwich bread.” The bread that simply couldn’t hold all the things that sandwich bread could or better yet - my beloved pita. Like think about it…pita is the opposite of bagels in terms of it’s ability to hold things - and that really got to me. (lol) BUT, then Zikki introduced me to the concept of a “scooped out toasted bagel with scallion cream cheese and cucumbers” and my dramatic opinion on bagels began to pivot. I became a NYC bagel convert. So much so, that I was even a judge at the NYC Bagel Fest last year when Pop Up Bagel won 1st place.
Since then, bagels have become a regular part of our weekends. And what better way to spend time with your family this Saturday than over a gorgeous Bagel Breakfast Board featuring bagels (homemade or bought locally), schmears, smoked fish, and pantry staple fixins!
So without further ado:
Building the Ultimate Bagel Board
Picture this: a fresh-out-of-the-oven bagel, I lovingly hand-rolled and boiled to perfection boasting a delightfully crisp crust and fluffy interior that’s just begging to devoured. Whether you get up early and make them for the family or make em the night before, your family is going to be STOKED!
